Bangkok wasn't what I expected it to be, but it was nice getting out of Singapore for a while. Now, 2012 awaits.

top 11 songs of 2011

I didn't get to listen to much music this year, sadly, but these are the songs that are representative, in no particular order:

1. kavinsky & lovefoxxx - nightcall

2. college feat electric youth - a real hero

3. penny & the quarters - you & me

4. gui boratto - no turning back

5. paul kalkbrenner - sky & sand

6. gorillaz - on melancholy hill

7. james yuill - this sweet love (prins thomas remix)

8. the national - baby we'll be fine

9. nostalgia 77 - seven nation army

10. beyond - hai kuo tian kong (seriously.)

11. guang liang - tong hua (really.)

I'M FUCKING SERIOUS. The experiences associated with the last 2 songs were extraordinary.

you've got to hide your love away

One of my favorite and lesser-known Beatles songs, ever. Too bad the girl is so hideous. As agreed today- people only care about you if you're pretty or dying.

good riddance

So it turns out that 2011 really brought bigger, better and taller things. Some pretty incredible events have happened this year:

Saw The National.

Caught Holy Fuck. Twice.

Grew the balls to cut THAT haircut.

Some ker-azy times in Guangzhou and HongKong with people I love or have come to love. (Includes going against traffic, the best drinking game in the world merely known as International Drinking Game, and the Holy Grail of Chinese Food, La Mei Zi). Shout out to my homegirl-cum-roomie Yilin, who endured my waking up at 6am to shower for 3 weeks every day.

Had a DINOSAUR birthday cake (thanks K!). But the Highlight of my 21st was probably this:

Fulfilled my dream of being Super Mario for Halloween.

I've learnt so much here.

All those nights falling in love with the club,

and all those weird nights where we ended up at Nana.

Here's the best part:

"In three words I can sum up everything about life: It goes on."

5 things i'm thankful for at this moment

1. learning that life goes on
2. my amazing internship

3. i have so much more to learn
4. cold coffee
5. rain
